Our 6” gray Udderly Quiet® Class A Bass Wedge is one of the simplest and most effective ways for you to control low-frequency sound. The 12” x 12” wedge pieces are simple to mount anywhere, attaching to most surfaces without special tools. They come in a neutral gray color to blend in with your studio environment, and the V-cut pattern is both aesthetically interesting and functional, creating more areas where echoes can become trapped within, keeping them safely away from your clean, clear sound.

You may have discounted the possibility of using our bass wedges before because you are soundproofing a temperature-sensitive environment. You may have been concerned that your foam wedges might catch fire. To be sure, although our polyurethane wedges have a flammability rating of UL94 HF-1, polyurethane is always flammable and not suitable for these environments. Fortunately, our Class A™ acoustic foam is different.

Our Class A™ acoustic foam bass wedges are made from heat-resistant melamine, not polyurethane. This means that while you still will not want to expose it to direct flame, you have much less to fear from unexpected sparks or temperature spikes. These melamine foam wedges are heat-resistant up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit.

The fact that they are so tough doesn’t mean you have to worry about a reduction in the quality of the sound absorption. In fact, our melamine wedges have a Noise Reduction Control factor (NRC) of 1.25, comparable to that of our polyurethane foam.
